I guess I'm a blogger now
Sep 15, 2023
I never thought this day would come. The day where I'm putting my thoughts out on the internet for all to see. As anyone growing up in Norway knows, we're quite cautious about oversharing as a culture. I myself have not been an exception to this. But not because I didn't want to, more because of the fear of putting myself out there. That ends today.
I turn 32 (💀) later this month, and I'm starting to feel the pressure to "get shit done". I am one of those people who feel like I wasted most of my 20s playing video games and procrastinating. And while I do not necessarily regret that, because without having been that person, I probably wouldn't be the person I am today. However, I still feel the urge to catch up on time wasted.
While I have already started catching up by travelling a lot around Europe, learning new hobbies and experiencing things I never have before, I still haven't gone "all out". It has always been a dream of mine to be able to work remotely and live the digital nomad lifestyle. And while I am not there quite yet, I have decided that it's time to try it out. The digital nomad lifestyle requires you to be able to go outside of your comfort zone quite frequently while you travel to new destinations, meet new people and experience new cultures. This post is my first step into that direction. I have not been comfortable with sharing my thoughts with the internet up until now, and frankly I'm still not comfortable with it, but that's the whole point of making this post!
I am determined to make this my first step out of my comfort zone, and hopefully when I look back in a few years, I will feel content about the choices I made along the way.
Thank you for reading this spur of the moment post. Let us hope it will be the first of many!
